Terms of Use
Terms governing access to and use of Avosi, a phone help app for older adults, caregivers, and families in the United States.
Last updated: July 4, 2026
1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Avosi, including our website, waitlist, communications, and any related mobile application, features, support workflows, or early access services that we make available.
By accessing or using Avosi, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and other policies referenced here. If you do not agree, do not use Avosi.
These Terms are written for clarity, but they are not a substitute for legal advice. Avosi should have these Terms reviewed by qualified U.S. counsel before publication or commercial launch.
2. Who Avosi is for
Avosi is designed to help older adults, caregivers, families, and trusted supporters better understand everyday phone tasks. It may provide plain-language guidance about phone screens, messages, settings, links, photos, app permissions, and digital safety habits.
Avosi is not intended for children under 13 and is not directed to children. Users who assist an older adult must respect that person's consent, privacy, dignity, and independence.
3. Educational support, not professional advice
Avosi provides informational and educational guidance. It does not provide legal, medical, financial, tax, insurance, emergency, cybersecurity incident response, or professional advice.
If a question involves money, banking, government benefits, healthcare, legal rights, passwords, one-time codes, identity documents, or personal safety, you should verify through official channels or a trusted qualified person before acting.
4. AI-generated responses and limitations
Some Avosi features may use artificial intelligence or automated systems to interpret user-provided text, images, audio, or screen context and generate responses. AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or inappropriate for a particular situation.
Avosi may help identify warning signs of suspicious messages or links, but it does not guarantee detection or prevention of scams, fraud, malware, account compromise, or harmful activity.
5. User responsibilities
- Use Avosi only for lawful, safe, and appropriate purposes.
- Do not submit passwords, one-time codes, full payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, government ID images, medical details, or sensitive information unless truly necessary and appropriate.
- Do not use Avosi to commit fraud, impersonate others, exploit vulnerabilities, harass anyone, infringe rights, or generate harmful instructions.
- Confirm important decisions through official sources instead of relying only on an automated response.
- If you help another person use Avosi, obtain permission and avoid submitting information about that person without a legitimate reason.
6. Accounts, waitlist, and communications
Some features may require an account, email address, phone number, app-store account, waitlist registration, or other information. You are responsible for keeping account information accurate and for protecting your devices and credentials.
By providing contact information, you authorize Avosi to send service-related messages, waitlist updates, security notices, product communications, and support responses. Marketing communications will include opt-out options where required by law.
7. Plans, billing, trials, and cancellation
Avosi may offer free, paid, trial, promotional, or family plans. Final pricing, features, availability, trial terms, billing, refunds, taxes, and cancellation rules may depend on the App Store, Google Play, region, and app version.
If subscriptions are sold through an app store, cancellation and refund requests may need to be handled directly through that store according to its rules.
8. Intellectual property
Avosi, including its name, branding, designs, text, interface, software, workflows, content, and related materials, is owned by Avosi or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, sell, sublicense, scrape, exploit, or create derivative works from Avosi except as permitted by law or with written permission.
9. Third-party services
Avosi may rely on third-party services such as hosting, analytics, cloud infrastructure, app stores, payment processors, customer support tools, databases, artificial intelligence providers, and communications tools.
Third-party services may have their own terms and policies. Avosi is not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Avosi is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.
We do not warrant that Avosi will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, always accurate, or able to detect every suspicious situation.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Avosi and its affiliates, owners, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data loss, account compromise, fraud losses, or reliance on automated guidance.
Some states do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some limitations may not apply to you.
12. Changes to Avosi or these Terms
We may update Avosi or these Terms from time to time. Material changes may be communicated through the website, app, email, or other reasonable means. Continued use after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law and U.S. legal review
The governing law, venue, arbitration, consumer notice, and class action provisions for the U.S. version should be finalized by qualified U.S. counsel before publication. Until that review is complete, this section should not be treated as final legal language.
Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable consumer rights under applicable federal or state law.
